Our spelling words next week will be words with suffixes -ment, -tion, and -ly. We will be discussing the meaning of the suffixes and how they help you know the meaning of a word. The test is Friday, November 2.

We will continue unit 5 this week on capitalization and punctuation.  We have drafted our realistic fiction story, we will continue to work on making it our best story next week with a dramatic ending.

We are still in our Courage unit.  We will be doing some more close reading of Martin Luther King's speech next week and more practice with text dependent questions.

We will start unit 3 on fractions and decimals next week.

Important Info:
Thanks to all those that joined me for parent conferences this week.  It was great to discuss your student's progress so far this year.
No school on Monday, October  29.
Halloween parties on Wednesday- make sure your child comes to school ready to just put their costume on over their clothes or for it to be on under their clothes.
