 February 11 - February 15 News!

Spelling:
We will be working next week on the greek and latin roots of uni-, bi-, tri-, and quad-.  There are only 10 words and 10 vocab words, some coincide with each other.  Our test will be Thursday, February 14 because of no school on Friday, February 15.

English/Reading:
We will be continuing with our new unit on Journeys.  We will be close reading the song The River by Garth Brooks. We will also be answering an open ended question pertaining to the song.

Social Studies/Science:
We will continue learning about the midwest in Social Studies.  We did more science this week and learned about energy converters and why the hospital in Ergstown did not lose power in the blackouts.  We are hopefully getting closer to finding the answer to why Ergstown keeps having blackouts.

Math:
We started unit 5 on geometry.  We have learned about different angles, radius, diameter, and circumference of a circle.
