March 4 - March 8 News!

Spelling:
We will be learning about adjectives and how they describe nouns.  We will be talking about how adjectives can really enhance our writing and make it more descriptive and visual. Our test will be Friday, March 8.

English/Reading:
We are still reading The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.  The students are enjoying the book and we have been doing some open ended questions for more practice in writing while reading the story.

Social Studies/Science:
We finished up chapter 8 in social studies on the midwest.  Test will be Tuesday, March 5.  The students are bringing home their study guide and stapled to it is some activities we did in class they can use to study for it.

Math:
We will be finishing up unit 5 next week.  Test is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 12.  I will let the students know next week the exact date.  We need to see how quickly or slowly we need to get through the last lessons.  The students had their last checkpoint before grades come out for trimester 2.  They all did well on it so they were happy!

Important Info:
No school- Friday, March 1- teacher institute
