May 20 - May 24 News!

Spelling:
We will be doing a fun last spelling list- all of the class names- first and last name.  We will do some fun spelling activities throughout next week and the following week.  Our test will be Friday, May 31, so the students will have 2 weeks to learn how to spell everyone's names.

English/Reading:
We are enjoying the poem unit so far!  The students have even said they are enjoying poems whereas when we first started poetry many students were not excited about poetry!  So happy they have turned the corner!  We continue diving deep with figurative language, similes, metaphors, etc.. We have started creating our poetry book.

Social Studies/Science:
We have started the last region for the year the West!  It is fun learning about the states in the west!

Math:
We had our comparing fractions checkpoint this week and the students all did great on them!!  So happy- check your child's grade!  It helped with many grades improving! :)

Important Info:

The Edward Tulane play was so fun and a great experience!  I hope your child liked it!
