 December 3-7 News!

Spelling:
We will not have a spelling list next week.  We will be starting mythology the following week and will do spelling to go along with that.  So, we will skip next week. :)

English:
We have finished up unit 5 in English.  We will be reviewing all next week and will have the unit 5 test on Wednesday, December 12.

Reading:
We will finish up studying about Lou Gehrig next week.  The students do have a vocab quiz on Monday, December 3.  They can study and practice their words using their word work assignment they did in class.  There is a quizlet they can play to practice their vocab words.

Social Studies/Science:
We are continuing with our energy unit in science.  They had to pick a claim and use evidence to write an argument they believe in!  We are still learning about the Southeast as well in Social Studies.

Math:
We are moving right along in unit 3 on fractions and decimals.  We had a checkpoint today, the students will get those back on Monday to see how they did.  Next week will be more of comparing fractions and decimals.

Important Info:
Hopefully you enjoyed your extra "snow day" or an extended Thanksgiving break!  Crazy the weather we had in November!  Hopefully it is not a precursor for the winter we will be having!!

Tuesday, December 4 is a SIP day, so the students will be dismissed at 11:00 am.

Have a great  weekend!
